Northwest Missouri State pulled away from Fort Hays State University down the stretch Thursday evening for a 64-51 win.
The Bearcats (7-1) were led by Trevor Hudgins, who hit four free throws in the final 1:21 to seal the win. The Manhattan, KS native finished with a game-high 29 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Ryan Hawkins added 14 points and nine rebounds.
Byron Alexander provided a lift off the bench scoring eight points going 3-3 from the field to go along with three rebounds.
The Bearcats are on the road again this Saturday afternoon to face Nebraska Kearney. Tip off is set for 4pm on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9.
